We're the trivia fanatics at Coon Rapids High School. Knowledge Bowl is a competitive team extra curricular activity. In teams of up to 6 you work together to demonstrate your mastery of quick thinking and teamwork on a multitude of academic trivia.
Meets consist of 5 total rounds of which you are ranked and awared by the number of total correct answers. Each meet traditionally begins with a written round where teams receive a packet of 60 questions and have 1 hour to complete them. These questions are usually multiple choice (4 choices).
Then each team's answers are scored and teams are ranked accordingly. Teams are divided three-to-a-room based on these ranks and they will then compete in the oral rounds.
There are 4 oral rounds. After each oral round of 45 questions teams are reranked and reorganized based on their new ranks.
An oral round is simply the reading of 45 questions. Teams can 'buzz in' on plastic strips connected to a computer that identifies priority based on speed. These questions are not multiple choice. Only 4 members of a team may compete in an oral round at once.

We hold morning practices in Room 350A each Friday at 6:45am
Our three Knowledge Bowl meets this year are: January 12, January 26, and February 9th.
So far we have had good results with a tie for 5th place in the first of three round robins.
Be sure to wish the team good luck before their next meet.
I will upload previous practice questions here for those who wish to review them. It is also a good way to familiarize yourself at what you could be asked.
